A class-action lawsuit against xAI and its Grok tool expanded to include two new alleged victims who detailed how Grok was used by friends and family to generate sexual images of them as minors. Stability AI was added as a defendant in the case. The complaint alleges that xAI deliberately designed Grok to create sexually explicit content, marketed a "Spicy Mode," configured the system prompt to assume "good intent" when users referenced "teenage" or "girl," and refused to implement industry-standard CSAM prevention measures used by other major AI companies.
The lawsuit exposes a fundamental operational gap: technology companies deploying generative AI without pre-contact safeguards.
