Shane Woodson, 39, formerly of Weaverville, California and now living in Wyoming, was indicted on July 23 for receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material. In 2023, while living in Weaverville, Woodson used sophisticated peer-to-peer software to receive hundreds of hours of CSAM video files. A 2024 search warrant execution at his residence resulted in the seizure of electronic devices containing tens of thousands of additional CSAM depictions and a child-sized sex doll. Woodson was arrested in Wyoming on July 29, 2026, and faces mandatory minimum statutory penalties of five years and maximum of 20 years for receipt of CSAM.
