Eight men were arrested in Louisiana on July 29, 2026 following an undercover online operation targeting individuals who use electronic communications to exploit minors for sexual purposes, officials reported. All arrested individuals are facing charges of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles and Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor; those arrested include Andrew Belk, 30, of Lafayette; Raul Xochihua, 29, of Lafayette; John Shepard, 39, of Lafayette; David Monroe, 38, of Denham Springs; Dewayne Ordone, 42, of Larose; Hobie Matherne, 32, of Larose; Kenneth Harris, 55, of West Monroe; and Xavier Copeland, 22, of Hammond, who faces two counts each.
Real-time detection prevents harm that stings document after the fact. Guardii's anti-grooming filter—deployed across Instagram, Snapchat, Discord, Roblox and other platforms—detects the deliberate pattern of conduct these eight defendants allegedly exhibited: an adult establishing trust, escalating conversation toward sexual content, and soliciting an in-person meeting. Every one of these solicitations could have been intercepted and blocked at point of contact, surfacing a child in danger to a parent, school or safeguarding team before the suspect left home to meet a supposed minor. Backed by Startmate and a Meta Business Partner, Guardii provides law enforcement agencies and prosecutors with the documented threat history that accelerates charges and conviction, while sparing children the downstream trauma of being bait.
